What to include in your appeal
Reviewers skim. Put the facts they need where they look first.
Stuck? Skip the letters and send your case to people who do this every day.
We'll handle it for youA reviewer reads fast. Put what they need where they look first.
The first two lines
- Account identifier: @username, profile link, or ad account ID
- The decision and date: "disabled on 2 March", "suspended under Spam"
- Your request: "please restore" or "please review manually"
The middle
- One sentence on what the account is for (personal, business, creator)
- One sentence that directly answers the policy named in the notice
- Any relevant event: a hack, a new device, travel, a third-party app you've since removed
Attachments when asked
- Government ID matching the profile name (see ID guide)
- For businesses: registration, website, invoice
- For hacks: the "your email was changed" message from security@mail.instagram.com or Facebook
Leave out
Passwords, codes, threats, other people's names, and long backstories. More in mistakes to avoid.

A strong appeal, line by line
Hello, my Instagram account @lina.bakes was disabled on 2 March under "Account integrity". (identifies account, date, policy)
I run a home bakery and use the account for orders. (why it matters)
I don't use automation or buy followers. The only change was a new phone in February. (answers the policy)
Please review the account manually. I can confirm my identity by ID or video selfie. (clear request and offer)

Questions people ask
Should I attach screenshots?
Attach them when the form allows it: the notice, your ID when asked, and any security emails if you were hacked.
Should I admit a mistake?
If you did break a rule, say what you've removed and what you changed. Honest beats evasive.
